Apple need not have a marketing budget

Looking at the brouhaha around the launch of the iPhone 4S ( expected to have been the iPhone 5), I wonder if at some brands achieve such momentum that they need not actively promote it any longer. Obviously you provide the tech specs, and what it’s good for. Call for one conference where you bring in the top bloggers of the Internet, and let, the now visible(and trackable), social sphere take over. Might be a slight stretch, but to me the social commentary regarding brands and products seems to have taken the credibility that public relations used to enjoy over traditional advertising. The power of the capitalist Market is back with the people.

Marx just turned in his grave. Wonder if he’d want the iPhone too.
